I just received word from the head nurse in the cardiology center that dad's surgery should conclude at around 16:00 (4pm), maybe 17:00 (5pm). This is about when I was expecting it to end, so it seems things are going according to plan as of now. More to come.

Lucas. I am 5,000 miles away in Helsinki thinking of you and your Dad. It is 10:30pm here, still full light, and I am thoroughly jet lagged - but I will try to stay awake to get your report. Thanks for setting up this blog. You are a great son. Come and stay with us in Boston!
